ED WINEBARGER

Born in Knoxville, TN in Aug. 1954, to a musical family, Ed received his first saxophone in 1966.  He went through his garage band phase at age 13 picking tunes off of a Boots Randolph LP.

Ironically, his first success was By the Time I Get to Phoenix.  At age 15 he began playing professionally with an eight piece band (three horns) called Chicago Fire covering Chicago Transit Authority and Blood Sweat and Tears, performing at fraternity parties and the University of Tennessee nightclub scene and more.

In 1984, Ed connected with a charismatic fellow named C. Vaughn Leslie who was then fronting a Soul/R&B band called Boys Night Out.  He was the former lead singer with the Sleepless Knights, a band started by Rusty Crowe in the 1960"s

Ed became the tenor sax player with the Boys Night Out with whom he has enjoyed a 33 year relationship, and still performs with to this day.  The band has grown to a magical seven piece horn section with male and female lead vocalists.

"How wonderful a statement of love and respect for a son and daughter-in-law to want to honor their father and his memory, through the language of the soul...that was also his life...music. What a privilege it has been to have Travis and Trudy include me in this tribute to such a giant of the music world.  Not only as a huge fan, but also as the 13-year old boy whos musical spark was ignited by the songs of the music legend that humbly referred to himself as just country boy."

Carson Peters.jpg

CARSON PETERS

Carson started playing the fiddle at the ripe age old age of three when his parents bought him a 1/8 size fiddle.  By age four he was playing in fiddle competitions and jamming at musical festivals. Carson has continued to hone the fiddle and singing talents that God has so graciously blessed him with, and has won many competitions along the way.

At thirteen years old, Carson is a seasoned performer playing numerous venues with his band throughout the region' Bristol Rhythm and Roots, Dollywood's Bluegrass and BBQ, Ashville's Bluegrass First Class, Song of the Mountains, Carter Family Fold and WDVX's World Class Bluegrass Concert Series to name a few.

Carson also had the honor of playing on National TV as a guest on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Little Big Shots with Steve Harvey, as well as playing with Jimmy Fortune on the floor of the Tennessee State Senate.

On March 28th 2014 Carson's dream of playing on the Grand  Ole Opry stage was realized when he was invited by Ricky Skaggs to come perform with him and his band Kentucky Thunder.

In May of the same year, Carson was asked to make a reappearance at the Opry, but this time with his own band.

On July 31, 2014, Carson made his Ryman Auditorium debut playing again with Ricky Skaggs during the 2014 Bluegrass Nights Series. Since these appearances, Carson and his band has performed on numerous occasions on the Opry Show.

 MIke Rogers  | Producer

MIKE ROGERS

Best known in Nashville for his drumming skills, many are shocked when they see and hear Mike Rogers up front playing guitar.   Little do they know, guitar was his first instrument.  Born and raised in Myrtle Beach, Rogers, whose father Tom, was a South Carolina State Fiddle Champion, took an interest in music at a very early age.

By the end of High School Rogers was backing a former Liberty Records artist on drums and considering the move to Nashville.  After deciding to stay in Myrtle Beach, start a family and play at the local music theater, Rogers made the move to Nashville in 2002 where he would play drums and some acoustic guitar for the likes of country artists Kevin Denney, and Craig Morgan.

After a break from the drums, to concentrate on lead vocals and acoustic guitar with bluegrass legend Doyle Lawson, Rogers made the jump back in to country music and back to Craig Morgan, this time on acoustic, banjo and steel guitar.  Rogers also includes singer, producer and song writer to his resume.

In 2009 he co-wrote one of the most played songs for that year, Bonfire which was recorded by Craig Morgan.  He has since penned songs for Doyle Lawson & Quick Silver, The Lonesome River Band and Jimmy Fortune.  He also had the opportunity to produce, perform and write songs for Jimmy Fortune's album Lessons

As Trudy and Travis Campbell stated..."Mike Rogers is a musical genius."
